I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I received my undergraduate education at the University of Florida and graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Central Florida. I then went on to study dentistry at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama. I was awarded a Health Profession Scholarship from the US Army, and I served on active duty for three years. When my active duty ended, I went into private practice. I purchased a practice in Asheville, North Carolina, and ran the practice until I entered my orthodontic residency in 2012.
As a general dentist, I was able to explore many areas of dentistry. As I discovered the areas I enjoyed most, I found myself becoming particularly interested in orthodontics. This led me to pursue residency training in orthodontics. I felt that, as an orthodontist, I could make a great impact on others and have fun doing it. Therefore, after contemplating it for several years, I decided to apply for my residency. After I got accepted, I sold my practice in North Carolina and moved to western Pennsylvania to attend a 30-month residency in orthodontics at Seton Hill University. At Seton Hill, I received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science in Orthodontics.
My experience as a primary care dentist running my own practice has greatly informed my role as a Rolla and St. Robert, MO, orthodontist. Thanks to my time as a dentist, I have a better understanding of my patients’ overall needs. My goal is to provide orthodontics and make a positive impact on your life. I feel fortunate to be involved in such a great profession!
